Article 1. Purpose and Scope
These Terms govern the conditions for using the membership, content, consultation and inquiry, cart, online booking, and booking lookup services provided on the website operated by LI:ET Clinic (the “Clinic”), as well as the rights and obligations of the Clinic and users.
Medical contracts, medical treatment, and the settlement of medical fees are governed first by applicable medical laws, the Clinic’s treatment guidance, and any individual explanation and consent.
Article 2. Definitions
A “User” means any person who uses the website, whether or not registered as a member. A “Member” is a User who creates an account under the Clinic’s procedures. “Online Booking” is a function through which a User requests confirmation of availability by submitting a desired treatment and appointment time.
“Content” means text, images, videos, treatment information, event information, and other materials provided by the Clinic through the website.
Article 3. Posting and Amendment of the Terms
The Clinic posts these Terms on the website where Users can readily review them. Important provisions are presented clearly, and any explanation or separate consent required by law is handled through the applicable procedure.
The Clinic may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by law. Ordinary amendments will be announced at least 7 days before taking effect, while amendments that disadvantage Users or materially affect their rights will be announced at least 30 days in advance with the reason and effective date. Separate consent will be obtained where required by law.
Article 4. Membership and Account Management
Users must provide accurate information when applying for membership. Registration or service access may be restricted if a User submits false information or uses another person’s information.
Members must safeguard their accounts and authentication methods and promptly notify the Clinic upon learning of theft or unauthorized use. Loss caused by a Member’s failure to exercise due care, without fault by the Clinic, will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the specific circumstances.
Users under 14 must proceed with treatment bookings and related procedures through a legal representative. Members may request account withdrawal at any time.
Article 5. Services and Changes
The Clinic provides information about medical staff, treatments, events, and articles, together with membership, consultation and inquiry, cart, online booking, and booking lookup functions.
General website information is provided for reference and does not replace diagnosis, prescriptions, or an in-person explanation by medical staff. For an emergency or a condition requiring immediate medical attention, do not use an online inquiry; call 119 or contact the nearest medical institution.
If the Clinic materially changes or ends a service, it will provide reasonable advance notice and take necessary steps to minimize the impact on confirmed bookings and Users’ rights.
Article 6. Online Booking
Submitting an online booking sends a booking request to the Clinic. A status shown as “received” does not by itself confirm an appointment. A booking is confirmed only after the Clinic communicates confirmation by telephone, text message, email, or website status.
The requested time may be adjusted because of clinic schedules, medical staff availability, patient safety, or unavoidable operational reasons. The Clinic will notify the User as promptly as practicable and discuss an alternative time.
Users should notify the Clinic in advance if a booking must be changed or cancelled. Where a deposit or cancellation fee applies, the amount, refund and cancellation conditions, and process will be separately explained and agreed before payment.
Article 7. Treatment and Non-Covered Medical Costs
Estimated prices, discounts, and event information displayed on the website are guidance based on the selected items and publication date. Actual costs may vary according to the patient’s condition, treatment scope, materials used, and additional examinations. The Clinic explains the necessary details before treatment or a procedure.
Non-covered medical costs and certificate issuance fees are available on the separate “Non-Covered Medical Costs” page. If the website notice and an on-site notice differ, the provision more favorable to the User or the standard required by applicable law will prevail.
Article 8. User Obligations
Users must comply with applicable laws, these Terms, and the instructions displayed on the website. Users must not misuse another person’s personal information or account or interfere with service operation.
Distributing malware, abnormal automated access, exploiting security vulnerabilities, repeatedly submitting false bookings, infringing the rights of others, and posting unlawful information are prohibited.
Article 9. Restriction and Suspension of Service
If a User violates these Terms or applicable law or threatens service security, the Clinic may restrict access to the extent necessary after prior notice. Where urgent security measures, protection of others, or compliance with law require immediate action, the Clinic may first impose the restriction and then promptly explain the reason and objection process.
Services may be temporarily suspended for unavoidable reasons such as maintenance, communications failures, disasters, or response to attacks. Foreseeable suspensions will be announced in advance.
Article 10. Content and Intellectual Property
Copyright and other rights in website Content belong to the Clinic or the lawful rights holder. Users may view Content for personal, non-commercial purposes but may not reproduce, distribute, alter, or commercially exploit it without permission.
Users retain rights in materials they submit through inquiries or requests. The Clinic uses those materials only to the extent necessary to process and respond to the request.
Article 11. Liability and Dispute Resolution
The Clinic and Users are responsible under applicable law for losses they cause through their own fault. These Terms do not exclude liability arising from the Clinic’s intent or gross negligence or any statutory rights of Users.
Questions or objections regarding the service may be submitted by calling 010-3002-1023 or emailing lietclinic26@gmail.com. The parties will first seek an amicable resolution. Unresolved disputes are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea and submitted to the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
Article 12. Protection of Personal Information
The separate Privacy Policy governs the purposes and categories of processing, retention periods, processors, exercise of rights, and security measures. If the Privacy Policy and these Terms differ, the provision more favorable to the data subject will apply.
